BMW vision M Next

The Vision M Next is a study of a hybrid sports car from BMW, which was first presented in Munich in 2019 and then at the IAA. It is considered a possible successor to the BMW i8, which ended production in 2020. In April 2020, it was announced that the vehicle would not be produced in series.

The power of the system with a turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine and two electric motors is 441 kW (600 PS). One electric motor is located on the front axle, while the other two motors drive the rear axle. In pure electric mode, a range of 100 km has been specified.

The bodywork with gullwing doors and very short overhangs, which incorporates elements from the BMW Turbo and BMW M1, was made of recycled carbon. The wheels are 21 inches at the front and 22 inches at the rear. The orange elements and BMW logos on the rear left and right are reminiscent of the BMW Turbo; the logos are only very small and have been placed in the area of the tail lights. The front headlights use phosphor-coated fiberglass.
